Retylane ® is an injectable gel that enhances the appearance. Restylane ® works by restoring the skin's volume, softening lines and enhancing features.
Restylane ® closely resembles natural hyaluronic acid, an important component of the skin. Over time, natural stores of hyaluronic acid deplete, leading to characteristic signs of aging. Restylane ® helps to replenish these stores and adds volume directly to the skin where needed.
Restylane ® is very safe, backed by clinical studies spanning over a decade. Restylane ® is non-animal, so there is no risk of transmitting disease or eliciting allergic reactions.
Treatment with Restylane ® usually takes no more than 30 minutes. Local anaesthetic is often given to minimise discomfort. Commonly treated areas include the lips, nasolabial lines (on the cheeks), chin and glabella (central forehead). Restylane ® may also be used to create fuller cheeks and to improve chin profile.
