| Septum |
The partition between the naval cavities. |
| Septoplasty |
An operation that straightens a septum which is deflected into one side of the nasal cavity (causing a
blocked nose). |
| Turbinate |
A part of the nose (on each side) that humidifies and warms inspired air. Large turbinates can
cause nasal obstruction. |
