Air–containing cavities within the facial bones and skull with narrow drainage openings into the nose.
Obstruction of drainage pathways results in build–up of mucous or pus in the sinuses and may result in symptoms of
sinusitis. Includes frontal, ethmoid, maxillary and sphenoid sinuses. |
