Term Definition
Anti helical fold This is the fold in the cartilage between the edge of the ear and the bowl shaped area around the ear canal.
Blepharoplasty A surgical operation to remove excess fat, muscle and skin from the upper and lower eyelids to improve the appearance of the eye.
Cartilage Firm, bone–like bodily structure, but more flexible and able to take different shapes. Your ear and nose are made of cartilage. Nasal cartilages influence breathing and the shape of the nose.
Columella The partition between the nostrils (the front part of the septum).
Conchal Bowl The saucer shaped area that lies around the opening of the ear canal. A large conchal bowl can result in prominent ears.
