Will insurance cover the procedure?
Most cosmetic facial surgery will not be covered by insurance companies. However, if functional, corrective surgery is required (eg if eyelids are interfering with vision) then most insurance companies will cover at least some of the costs. For full details contact your insurance company after consultation.
Will ACC pay for surgery?
If surgery is required as the result of an injury caused in an accident, and you have an ACC number documenting this accident, then in most cases the full cost of treatment will be covered by ACC. This includes consultation, surgery and postoperative visits.
Will I be followed up after surgery?
Regular follow–up will be arranged after surgery to ensure healing is progressing well and there are no complications. Any concerns you have following surgery can be brought up at the follow–up appointments.
